Katie Carey is the Head of Growth at Artwork Archive, a leading platform helping artists manage their inventories and document their legacies. She has earned degrees in Art History and Communications from the University of Michigan, and she has held roles in contemporary art galleries and institutions such as the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, along with being an arts reporter for various NPR affiliates. Additionally, Katie is a ceramic artist who has held residencies at the Rochester Folk Art Guild, Byrdcliffe Artist Guild in Woodstock New York, and Flower City Arts Center in Rochester, New York—she currently serves on the board of directors at the Colorado Potters Guild.
